Admission to the chorus
Coffee Bean Show Chorus usually has admissions at the beginning of every financial year, but sometimes also in the spring.
Admissions are done in the following way:
You will do a simple audition to be placed in a suitable part. You stay during the whole evening of your first repetition, from 18h30 to 21h15. You don't have to be able to read music, but you have to be able to learn new material with the help of recordings. It makes it easier if you have your own recording equipment, eg mobile phone.
At your first repetition a mentor from your part will be chosen for you, who will help to introduce you in the chorus. For 3-5 weeks you will attend repetitions with the chorus. After this you will do a new audition in a quartet - where you are the beginner and the remaining three are already members of the chorus. The meaning of this is that you have to prove that you can hold a part by yourself in one or two songs that you've learnt off by heart.
